    Description

    Black Owner of Solar Services' (B.O.S.S.) Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative (ECEAI) is seeking an ECEAI Cohort Business Manager to manage the administrative, financial, and operational aspects of cohort-participant supporting NC & GA business infrastructure build-out along with multi-state documentation for program operations with local municipalities, community partners & Federal OSDBU offices.

    This role involves working closely with program participants, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of programs that align with the organization’s mission and goals. Additionally, the position supports certifications, application proficiency, cohort participant partnership scheduling, and cohort transition to the B.O.S.S. network with ongoing focus on cohort transition from Tier I to Tier II. 

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    1. Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of cohort-based program participants. Coordinate the development of program business management content, schedules, and materials in collaboration with Sr. Program Manager and facilitators.
    2. Participant and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for cohort participants, providing support, guidance, and resources to enhance their experience. This includes scheduling, mentorship sessions, and biweekly/monthly reporting. Manage the team of Vertical Specialists. This includes monitoring daily activities, providing support, allocating resources, and conducting performance.
    3. Operations and Administration: Using Qualtrics and SmartSheets to manage cohort participants data reporting and transitioning cohort graduates to YM Platform for B.O.S.S. Network. Manage the administrative aspects of cohort participants at Tier II & Tier III , including record-keeping, document management, data entry, reporting, maintaining subcontractor reporting and subcontractor invoicing.
    4. Financial Management: Develop and manage program participants Tier II & Tier III budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and cost-effectiveness for ECEAI cohort contractor submissions at State & Federal level. Monitor program expenses and revenues, providing regular financial forecast to senior management.
    5. Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, development, and finance, to ensure program success. Manage and train program staff, interns, and volunteers involved in cohort programs.
    6. Monitoring and Evaluation (Identify KPIs): Collect and analyze data on program outcomes, participant satisfaction, and impact. Prepare and present evaluation reports to senior management, funders, and other stakeholders.
    7. Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in cohort participant coordination. Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance program coordinating & business management quality and participant experience.

    The ideal candidate will possess the following MINIMUM qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (from and accredited college or university) in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Education, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. OR 8-10 years of relevant work experience (in lieu of a degree).
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit program management, small business operations management. Experience managing cohort-based programs or educational initiatives is highly preferred.
    • MUST reside and work in either GA or NC (preferably GA).
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, presentations, and proposals to engage diverse audiences. Fluency in written and oral English; Spanish desirable.
    • Impeccable integrity, judgment, and discretion; A balance of humor and diligence, humility and mission-driven ambition.
    • Financial management and budgeting experience.
    • Comfort with quantitative and qualitative data; experience in KPI development and implementation.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit government grant procurement processes as well as ensuring compliance with such grants.
    • Experience working in non-profits or community organizations or demonstrated commitment to community service/public interest.
    • Passion for environmental sustainability, racial equity, and social justice, with a commitment to advancing B.O.S.S.'s mission and values.
    • Advanced-level proficiency in using technology and software for program management (e.g., CRM systems, project management tools, mentoring platforms, organizational tools, communications/productivity platforms, learning management systems).
    • Advanced-level proficiency with solid, measurable experience in using a variety of software applications, social media platforms, and databases (REQUIRED: Google Workspace -Gmail, Google Docs; MS Office Suite; SmartSheets; Together; Qualtrics; Zoom, Social Media apps).
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the US. Ability to travel throughout the contiguous 48 states as necessary to accomplish certain project tasks.
