    Be A Part of Something Amazing: TasselTurn is an education technology nonprofit focused on supporting foster care-involved and housing-insecure youth in their journey to high school graduation and acceptance into post-secondary opportunities. We leverage our learning platform and strategic partnerships to provide the personalized support these students need to succeed. Our work has been recognized by Forbes, ESSENCE, and Cosmopolitan Magazine. Our funders and partners include: AT&T, L’Oréal Paris, Echoing Green and Chicago Beyond. As we continue to grow and strive toward our goal of placing 4,000 students in college by 2028, we are seeking a dedicated Operations Coordinator to join our team.

    About the Role: The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of TasselTurn. This part-time position is perfect for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference and meaningful impact in the lives of youth. The Operations Coordinator will support various administrative tasks, manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and assist with operational logistics to help keep our organization running efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including managing emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
    • Scheduling and Coordination: Organize and maintain the CEO’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for internal and external events.
    • Document Management: Assist with the creation, organization, and maintenance of important documents, files, and records.
    • Operations Support: Support the operational needs of the team, including ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with onboarding new team members.
    • Communication: Act as a point of contact between team members and external partners, ensuring clear and timely communication.
    • Data Entry and Reporting: Assist with data entry tasks and help prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Project Assistance: Provide support for special projects as needed, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: At least one year of previous experience in an administrative or operations role, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
    • Skills:
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Attributes:
      • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
      • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
      • Passionate about education and social impact, particularly in supporting underserved youth.

    Recruitment Process

    Our process: Screening call (~30 mins) → Career History Interview (~90 mins) → Project (max 3 hours & you will be compensated) → Panel Interview (~2 hours) → Reference checks & offer!
