    The Marketing & Communications Coordinator presents the public face of Recipe for Success Foundation by creating well-constructed campaigns, designed to produce measurable results and monitoring accuracy, relevance and creative value of digital content across all Foundation platforms including social media (multiple Facebook pages, X, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google+, You Tube and Vimeo), video content, electronic newsletters and event marketing, and web presence (recipe4success.org, VegOutwithrfs.org, HopeFarmsHTX.org, Google, Yelp!, etc.).

    The Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Recipe for Success Foundation must be a creative, detail-oriented, self-starting, results-driven professional who writes well, thinks like a journalist and can craft a good story while remaining current with the fast developing trends of contemporary communication and up to date with measurement and metrics tools. The position reports directly to Founder & CEO, Gracie Cavnar, and works with key staff, appointed independent consultants, Board of Directors, Advisory Boards and Volunteers to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by executing the following duties:

    Responsibilities:

    • Executes planned social media strategy and campaigns across all platforms; sources and develops content
    • Posts to Social Media daily, including weekends.
    • Develops social-media campaigns in collaboration with Programming and Fundraising teams
    • Writes and develops each post;
    • Clears requests and posts with program departments as needed
    • Interacts with followers and responds to comments and questions from the public in a timely manner (depending on subject, may include weekends and after hours)
    • Coordinates blog posting schedule and edits content in collaboration with program and development teams
    • Oversees content of recipe4success.org, Hopefarmshtx.org and VegOutwithRFS.org and updates as needed
    • Manages video production including drafting scripts, and content development for approvals
    • Drafts ad, brochure, poster, flyer and invitation copy and coordinates graphics
    • Oversees the smooth operation of major website projects--including e-commerce updates, app development, etc. in coordination with IT
    • Generates weekly reports on website, e-blast, and social media analytics at a high level. Additionally, provides more detailed analytics reports for specific programs and campaigns. Alerts team to any notable trends or issues.
    • Manages and contributes to photographic and video library for use across all platforms

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Fluency and demonstrated success in web and online communications, including social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and emerging platforms used by our target market
    • Professional writing and editing experience
    • Photography, videography and editing skills
    • Awareness and passion for healthy eating, cooking gardening, farming and food justice issues as well as entertaining and shared meals
    • Ability to meet demanding deadlines, manage multiple projects at once, interact with a broad variety of internal and external personalities, manage and traffic multiple priorities - all hopefully with a smile!
    • Strong aptitude and experience with various design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and with various Microsoft Office products, Apple computers and WordPress platform
    • Is a regular reader of Mashable, TechCrunch, Social Media Today, Social Times, Mobile Marketing Watch, All Facebook, About Foursquare, Nonprofit Tech 2.0, Beth’s Blog, HubSpot, TechSoup, NTEN, and other such blogs to stay current with trends and "The next big thing."
    • Comfortable with the idea of posting updates from any location at any time, when necessary, which means some evenings and weekends as needed

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable and demonstrable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
    • Three to five years related work experience, including in the fields of web development and management, marketing, journalism, social-media applications
