    Description

    The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general ledger management, supervising 2-3 other accounting positions, ensuring monthly accounting cycle closing, and actively participating in the annual audit, budget and review of federal and state filings. The Accounting Manager will be very detail-oriented, a great communicator and have a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and great organizational abilities. The Accounting Manager values excellence within his or her work, and will maintain the integrity of accounting/financial records and files. The Accounting manager reports to the CFO/CAO.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Oversees accounts payables function and journal entries
    • Responsible for investment entries
    • Responsible for GL accounts and review of bank account reconciliations
    • Maintenance of accounts receivable
    • Ensures proper and timely month-end closings
    • Reviews accounting data, identifies and corrects errors in accounting transactions
    • Applies accounting principles and ensures adherence to GAAP
    • Supervises accounts payable and revenue accountant positions
    • Plays a major role in annual audit preparation
    • Assist with preparation of 1099, 990 and State Filings, and Form 5500
    • Prepares internal monthly financial reports
    • Assist in the budget process and review as needed
    • 941 quarterly reconciliations
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO
