    Quality Control Office Director

    General Overview: A coalition of organizations is running voter registration drives nationally to register people of color to vote, and the The Outreach Team (TOT) is helping by running a side by side Quality Control program. As part of the Quality Control team, you will ensure the voting registration drives are impactful by collecting high-quality data about canvasser’s work and interactions to help them become more effective at their jobs.     Our national political and organizing consulting firm is hiring a Quality Control Office Director in Binghamton and Syracuse, NY. You'll be the bottom line person doing the administrative work behind the scenes to make voter registration drives and voter contact drives successful. The Quality Control Director reviews voter registration forms and fixes errors in the field. This position starts ASAP, and runs until November, 2024.

    Responsibilities

    • Bottom line on verifying the quality of all voter registration forms within the required turnaround time.
    • Manage in office organization of voter registration forms, including but not limited to daily data tracking, scanning, redacting and managing a large database.
    • Preparing deliveries of paper VR forms to go to correct Board of Elections offices and ensuring they are sent out in a timely manner.
    • Working with the external QC department to ensure integrity of forms and data being uploaded; Resolving flags pertaining to VR cards flagged by the external QC team.
    • Training staff in skills needed to be successful canvassers following findings from QC data including best practices procedures (form review, phone verification, tracking). 
    • Provide ongoing context and motivation for staff. 
    • Ensure company policies are upheld, including holding staff accountable to performance, integrity, health, safety, and professionalism standards. 
    • Maintain high standards in the office and provide ongoing feedback and evaluation for staff.
    • Analyze data and report back to Lead Directors, Field Directors, and Admin Directors to flag trends and problems.
    • Complete administrative duties, including working with the Lead Directors, Field Directors and Admin Directors to maintain accurate reporting and data tracking.
    • Ensure our staff, team, and outreach efforts are rooted in and shaped by the values of equity and justice. Infusing equity and justice principles into every aspect of the job, including but not limited to staff management, orientation, and office administration.

    Qualifications:

    Must Haves

    • Strong listening and communication skills. Ability to motivate your team
    • Possesses a growth mindset, be trainable, and open to new skills
    • Extremely detail-oriented: you catch small and large errors that most people miss
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel/Sheets
    • Organized, self starter and strong time management skills
    • Passionate about progressive issues and motivated by social change
    • Experience managing staff or volunteers
    • Trustworthy, professional, and reliable

    Nice to Haves

    • Experience managing large teams of staff or volunteers
    • Experience with voter registration and/or Blocks software
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish

    Salary

    This is a salaried position with a range of $1250-1450/week, depending on experience. We offer benefits, including fully paid health care, vacation, and sick days.
