EARTHDAY.ORG is looking for a motivated, passionate student with a commitment to protecting the environment. EARTHDAY.ORG is spearheading a targeted, voter engagement program on four college campuses across North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The program, known as Vote Earth 2024, encourages students to register to vote as well as to pledge to vote in the 2024 election, with strong consideration for environmental issues.
Last Earth Day, the EARTHDAY.ORG Campus Coalition organized students on 40 campuses across the United States to call on the U.S. government to push for a strong global plastics treaty in the United Nations. This fall we plan to focus that same energy on voting in the 2024 election. Politicians and political parties often take the focus of elections away from issues and towards personalities, but we in the environmental movement have an opportunity to shine the spotlight on how federal elections impact environmental policy in the U.S. and across the world.
The perfect candidate for this role is a student who is hard working, mission oriented, and passionate about protecting the environment and human health. The role is a contracted position, paying $333.33 a week, starting on August 19th and going until November 8th.
