The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) is looking for a part-time Development Coordinator, based in our Minneapolis office.

You understand that nonprofit fundraising and development hinges on building trust and nurturing relationships with donors and funders, whether they are foundations, corporations or individuals. You have experience in writing fundraising appeals and implementing individual donor strategies. You are familiar with creating gap statements and cases for support, and you excel at executing a comprehensive fundraising plan. You will collaborate with the Associate Director of Development, the communications team and the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and driving sustainable growth.

The Position:
This position requires a dynamic individual who can blend personalized donor engagement with data-driven decision-making to meet IATP’s current and longer-term development objectives. The Development Coordinator will work up to 15 hours per week, working closely with the Associate Director of Development to achieve the organization’s development objectives. Focusing primarily on individual donors, the Development Coordinator will help design and execute the individual fundraising strategy and activities at IATP. Tasks and responsibilities will include creating and implementing individual donor and fundraising appeals and maintaining the fundraising database. The Development Coordinator will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donor relationships and relationships with donor organizations. The Development Coordinator will also provide backup support to the Associate Director of Development with institutional fundraising and grants management as needed.

Compensation for this position is based upon qualifications and experience, with a starting range of $24-30/hour. IATP offers paid sick leave and the opportunity to participate in our 403B retirement plan. Enjoy a lively, collegial, flexible and dog-friendly work environment. This hybrid position is in the Minneapolis office and requires in-person workdays.
