Drop-In Center Coordinator
Full-Time $22 - 24/ hour
Homeworthy is seeking a compassionate, adventurous, and solution-oriented team player to serve as the Drop-In Center Coordinator at The Landing Place!
The Landing Place (TLP) is Homeworthy’s comprehensive youth program which provides support for highly-resilient and often marginalized youth living in Midcoast Maine. We strive to inspire hope, restore purpose and belonging, and break cycles of poverty through outreach, case management, shelter solutions, and a drop-in youth center.
The Drop-In Center Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the youth who come to the low-barrier, drop-in center. They will be responsible for the smooth and safe running of our Youth Center, coordinating volunteers, accepting and processing donations, planning programming, and conducting outreach in the community. Most importantly, they will cultivate a positive, engaging, and welcoming environment at TLP and make trusting and enduring connections with youth, families, and community members.
The ideal candidate will show strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, as well as a passion for connecting with young people. The Coordinator will need to communicate clearly with fellow staff and volunteers, exercise good professional judgment and boundaries, and be able to give and follow written and verbal directions. The Drop-In Center Coordinator will be scheduled for 40 hours per week, hours can extend into evenings.
Staff should have at least 2 years of experience working with youth in a professional setting. Staff must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (applicants must be 21+ years of age and have 1 year of safe driving experience to operate Homeworthy passenger vans). Staff must be proficient in reading and speaking English, able to push and lift 50 pounds.

This position will pay $22-$24/ hour, based on experience.
