    Research

    College of Public Health faculty members serve as Principal Investigator for more than 50 research programs. Examples include:

    • Cancer survivors' intentions for work following diagnosis and treatment
    • Examining the reach of clean indoor air policies in Appalachia
    • Improving cardiovascular care for minority Americans: Facilitating organizational change
    • Profile of family violence in Ohio
    • Prevention of oral cancer by strawberries
    • Work-related injuries among immigrant workers
    • Employed Latino health initiative

    The College of Public Health is a significant partner in two major initiatives at Ohio State: the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS); and the Center for Global Health. The CCTS grant from the National Institutes of Health is one of the largest ever received by the university.

    The College of Public Health partners with Columbus Public Health to hold a summertime farmers' market for three days in downtown Columbus. The Public Health Farmers' Market provides area residents of the area much-needed access to fruits and vegetables.

    • First accredited college of public health in Ohio.
    • College ranked 19th by US News and World Report magazine.
    • MHA program ranked 10th in the country.
    • Since 2004, our funded research has quadrupled.
    • The college moved into the newly renovated Cunz Hall in 2011.
    • Our students and alumni are having worldwide impact. Students serve in international practice placements, including Bangladesh and Uganda. One of our MHA graduates is working in a hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
