Position: Controller (Hybrid Remote)
The Controller is responsible for managing designated financial operations of the organization, including accounting, auditing, and administration. Innovative, hands-on individual with eight years of increasing not-for-profit experience in a highly complex operating environment with at least $40 million in annual revenues and expenses. Strong GAAP theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to prepare both internal management reports (monthly), account analysis (monthly) and audited financial statements (annual). This individual will assume responsibility for Treasury (bank recs, cash receipts), financial accounting (monthly close and financial statement analysis and reporting) and provide extensive supervision of grants and billing.
Demonstrated experience as one of the key liaisons to external auditor for a complex organization required. Strong interpersonal, communication and conceptual skills and related supervisory experience. Expertise in report writing and utilization of accounting software to improve analysis and efficiency in reporting. Knowledge of PC-based accounting system in a network environment. Expertise with Excel/Word. Capable of taking independent action and taking initiative to recommend and implement required improvements. Ability to lead direct reports and persuade peer colleagues through clear communication and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting / business, active CPA required and 8 years increasing experience in not-for-profit.
