    Summary of Position: The Senior Associate, Communications and Portfolio Reporting is part of the Partnership for New York City’s Communications team. Working with the Director of Communications, the Senior Associate will develop and execute messaging about the Fund and integrate it into the larger Partnership for New York City communication strategy to engage various stakeholders: the board, investors, entrepreneurial and social investment communities, Partnership members and press. The Senior Associate will also manage Fund reporting, including the Partnership Fund's key performance and social impact metrics, working in close collaboration with the Fund’s Managing Director of Portfolio Management. 

    Responsibilities:

    Marketing Communications

    Responsible for creating marketing communications and other external-facing content:  

    • Create, manage and execute social media/editorial content strategy for the Partnership Fund and its three public sector innovation labs
      • Create and post content for the Partnership’s social media outlets (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram,) and the Fund President’s social media outlet (LinkedIn) related to programs, new investments, exits, and other initiatives
      • Lead the development and production of all Fund-related content including newsletters and special email campaigns, blog posts, videos, and press releases 
      • Work closely with PFNYC’s creative consultant on production and maintenance of creative assets
      • Manage and ensure regular updates of Fund and innovation lab websites
      • Work closely with the broader communications team and the Partnership’s media relations agency to build relationships with relevant media and key influencers to help drive awareness of the Fund’s activities
    • Ensure all content dovetails with the Partnership’s overall communications strategy, brand guidelines and key messaging
    • Support development of trend stories (blogs, media pitches) to position the Partnership Fund as a thought leader
    • Oversee media monitoring of portfolio and program companies, relevant industry news and partners. Apply this information to internal purposes and to update digital assets, maintain social media engagement, plan paid content and measure success

    Portfolio Reporting

    Responsible for the Partnership Fund’s internal and external reporting on existing and new investments, innovation lab programs and other initiatives in conjunction with the Fund investment team, including report design, coordination, writing/editing.  

    • Maintain and update key metrics of the Partnership Fund and perform regular analyses on Fund impact and activity
    • Responsible for the preparation of all Partnership Fund Board materials
    • Work with Managing Director of Portfolio Management to report on and showcase portfolio news and updates

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience preferably within Public Relations, Marketing Communications, Investor Relations and/or related fields
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign (Photoshop and Illustrator a plus)
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce
    • Attention to detail
    • Fluency in communicating on all social media platforms
    • Creative thinker with an ability to develop story angles and spot trends
    • Ability to multitask
    • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
    • Able to exercise good judgment and discretion
    • Interest in and commitment to New York City and the Partnership Fund’s mission
