FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school!

What We’re Looking For:
FoodCorps seeks a motivated and passionate individual to lead, coach, and support a cohort of 10-14 FoodCorps members. The Student Impact Lead will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality programming to students by providing training and ongoing individual coaching to FoodCorps members. They will build collaborative and resilient relationships with school staff, teachers, and administrators to ensure members are set up for success. They have taught, coached, or otherwise worked with children, and can bring that lens to their work with adult learners. They will have experience leading teams and be excited to support a cohort of non-traditional educators to create impactful learning experiences for all of their students.
This full-time position will have the ability to be remote within proximity to the FoodCorps member cohort that it manages which are currently Washington DC and Maryland. Both statewide and national travel will be required, up to 30%.

You are excited about the prospect of coaching and supporting emerging leaders to implement high-quality programs for students and schools. You have a dedication to diversity and inclusion, with a desire to work for food equity and social and racial justice. You approach all that you do with a growth mindset by providing guidance and support for learning, while managing towards accountability. You enjoy coaching and building relationships with diverse individuals, both in person and remotely. You are highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects and demands simultaneously. You are able to be responsive to local context and individual needs while balancing the goals and requirements of the program as a whole.

Starting Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
