    Description

    Who we’re looking for

    Using their expertise and problem-solving ability, the Systems Administrator will audit, build, deliver, and maintain The Diabetes Link IT infrastructure, ensuring it remains functional and compliant with our existing platforms. The Systems Administrator will help develop business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, and configuration, along with testing and deployment, optimizing internal systems and tools to support operations across the organization’s core functions – programs, development and marketing communications. The Systems Administrator will also oversee the organization’s tools, systems and methods for data collection and analysis to support program implementation and assessment, research-based deliverables, revenue planning and funding analysis, and business decision-making.

    In this role, you will oversee tasks delegated to you by the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership Team. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a commitment to supporting the mission of a non-profit organization. 

    What you’ll do

    Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Information Systems Management

    • Audit the organization’s current software setup and platforms to identify areas of improvement, customizations, and features.
    • Operate and integrate systems with new and existing internal/external platforms to enable efficiencies in key areas of the organization.
    • Use automations to streamline internal processes.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
    • Work with relevant team members to learn project requirements, facilitate process analysis sessions, and develop technology solutions.
    • Identify project issues and risks, and present alternatives for alleviating or resolving them.
    • Manage the ongoing customization and optimization of the organization’s CRM for constituent relationship development, contact management and activity tracking.
    • Manage the integration of all apps, tools and platforms that capture data to ensure data integrity; minimize data duplication; and build robust reporting capabilities and insights.
    • Manage the technology tools that support business operations, assisting with user adoption and training, system documentation and security, and ongoing feature evaluation and enhancements.
    • Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

    Surveys & Data Reporting

    • Manage all survey-based research and deliverables: collaborate closely with the teams to align with objectives and reporting requirements; work with staff and external resources to ensure high quality survey instruments, methodology, analysis and final deliverables.
    • Build dashboards, reports and other data visualizations to communicate organization performance metrics across the team and to keep leadership abreast of key trends.

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    You’ll be successful in this role if you have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Manager, or similar role.
    • Extensive knowledge of Salesforce NPSP, Hubspot, PathFactory, FormAssembly, Campaign Monitor, Monday.com, Wordpress, etc , and other tools to support data management, integration and analytics.
    • Strong knowledge of managing databases/CRMS, email servers (e.g., Google Workspace), and messaging systems.
    • Experience with network security, data backup, and recovery practices.
    • Ability to interpret data, develop insightful reports, and data visualizations and presentations for a range of users and use cases.
    • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
    • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving.
    • The ability to work independently and proactively address potential issues.
    • Reliability, trustworthiness, and commitment to the team's success.
    • Familiarity with non-profit organizations and their unique technology needs is a plus.

    The Diabetes Link is a fully remote organization. This is a 3-month freelance opportunity with the potential to extend to a 6-month contract or full-time position. 

    The compensation is $35-50 per hour, depending on experience. This position provides a schedule of up to 10 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours as needed.
