    We are currently in search of a Grants Manager for Human Rights Nonprofit. This role is a Hybrid Temporary to Permanent opportunity, with an anticipated salary range of $75,000-$85,000.

    ORGANIZATION TYPE: Human Rights Nonprofit

    LOCATION: New York, NY (Financial District)

    POSITION TITLE: Grants Manager

    SCHEDULE: Full Time (35 Hrs/Week)

    Hourly: $35-$37/Hr 

     

    Is This Your Dream Job? The Grants Manager has primary responsibility for allocating, tracking, and reporting on both international and domestic donor funds. Additional responsibilities include managing administrative details of grants, managing the donor database, tracking the activities of current grants, working with program staff in preparing reports and budgets, and providing an interface with the Finance department regarding grant budgets and financial reporting.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

      • At least three years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in grants administration; proficiency with accounting software and general ledger analysis is a plus
      • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related professional training in grant reporting
      • Strong financial analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and strong organizational abilities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
      • Ability to work independently and within a team with a high level of professionalism
      • Identification with the organization's mission

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

      • Monitor and maintain active grants and related coding
      • Develop fiscal year budgets and individual grant budgets for all programs and departments
      • Oversee financial reporting for all grants, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines
      • Communicate with HQ and country office staff regarding financial matters, including budgeting and reporting
      • Maintain and update grant budget to actual report templates
      • Review and approve coding for contracts and payment requests related to restricted grants
      • Assist country offices with fund allocation, financial analysis, and audits
      • Provide assessment of financial implications for proposals and new projects
