    Compensation is calculated based on 10 hours worked per month, paid in thirds at the beginning, middle, and end of the contracted 12 month period.

    Job Description:

    This accountant's role will support the East Michigan Environmental Action Council by providing monthly reports to the board, financial reports to the Executive Director (as needed), completing monthly bank rectification and relevant documents for monthly closeouts, and interfacing with auditors, as well as executing bi-weekly payroll.

    The accountant would report to the Executive Director and collaborate with the Operations Director.


    Requisite Skills & Traits:

    • proficiency in QuickBooks and other industry standard accounting formats
    • comfortable with email and professional communications etiquette
    • enthusiasm for learning and growth
    • comfortable in high-trust environments; completing tasks in excellence, with little oversight and maximum self-direction.
