As a small organization our team often wears many hats, working collaboratively to achieve our goals. Wishtoyo is seeking a hands-on and highly motivated individual to work in our Accounting department. The Bookkeeper will work with other accounting staff to accurately process and record all financial transactions according to Wishtoyo’s internal policies.
Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities
· Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
· Process accounts receivable/payable and payroll in a timely manner
· Exercises confidentiality in the execution of day-to-day operations
· Enter data, maintain records, prepare reports and financial statements
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
· Assists accounting and program staff with special reports/projects including budgeting, and monitors project budgets with project leaders to ensure that projects are managed in compliance with funding guidelines
· Administrative support in the completion of financial data and compliance reporting
· Works with accounting staff and management to update, manage, and develop new ideas, processes, policies and practices for more efficient and smoother operations
· Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2-3 years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
· Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
· Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), preferred
· Flexibility to accomplish tasks as needed
· Ability to analyze and solve problems
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office & intermediate experience with QuickBooks
Part-time Non-Exempt position. Full-Time Candidates may be considered. Hourly rate $21-$26 per hour DOE.
